about US
We began our love affair with Cuba back in 2022 on a humanitarian mission between the two sister cities. When we arrived we were struck with the similarities of our beloved New Orleans and the vibrant people of Cuba. We were also struck with the crippling poverty that exists.
The average Cuban wage is $18 per month and with food shortages across the island, parents are forced to make life altering decisions to feed their families. The biggest need is for food, diapers, milk and sanitary napkins.

To that end, we created a 501(c)(3) non-profit to bring food, sanitary supplies and diapers to needy people in the surrounding villages. We partner with churches and civic organiations that donate food to us. We are able to work with the Cuban government to bring the food directly into the poorest areas in Cuba. Our volunteer team personally distributes all of the items. Since that time, we have brought more than 4,000 pounds of supplies from New Orleans to Cuba. This year we will bring a shipping container containing more than 20,000 pounds of food and supplies donated by New Orleans churches, other non-profits and private donors.
Vision
To become the premiere humanitarian organization that provides a critical bridge between our region and the needy people of Cuba. We will act as a beacon of hope to the Cuban people and act as a vehicle of service to the people of New Orleans.
